Multi Objective Genetic Algorithm for Optimal Route Selection from a Set of Recommended Touristic Activities

It is a known fact that the order in which touristic activities are experienced plays role how enjoyable they are. This reason why tourists prefer to book carefully prepared day tours on arrival new destination, as allow them see essence of destination while traversing scenic routes. Tours great, but expensive, do not room for personal exploration, and built one-size-fits-all does consider individual preferences tourist. In contrast, it possible make an optimal selection ordering from larger set possibilities match tourist’s preferences, balancing important aspects like diversity, spatial proximity, or degree interest popular places. We propose multi-objective genetic algorithm uses weighted averaging operator balance four diverse objective functions crafted maintain popularity, cultural preference. The system has been evaluated against baseline algorithms found perform significantly better specified purpose.
